Amazon has been the target of a number of cash-strapped states quite recently. These states, which are trying to go tax-happy, are starting to introduce legislation that will force Amazon to pay sales tax because of its affiliates in the state, making it as if a local presence. Amazon's response? Terminate all of its relationships with the affiliates immediately.
